I am an artist/designer living and working in London, UK. I am displaying some of my artwork here which dates from 1980 to the present day. My most recent commission, designing a Christmas Card featuring Ridley Road Market, can be seen here. I have also reproduced four of my paintings as greetings cards which are for sale and can be bought here and my work is also on display at the Saatchi gallery. I am available for commissions and you can email me by following the link below. I also write a regular blog which you can read here.
I have been using the name ‘Plantin’ as part of my email address for a number of years and now it is the domain name for this website. For those of you who have been wondering ‘what Plantin means’ here is a brief explanation.
Christoffel Plantin (1520-1589), after whom the typeface Plantin is named, was a Flemish printer and humanist who lived and worked in Antwerp. Plantin was responsible for printing, amongst other things, the famous Biblia Polyglotta (Bible in five languages). I recommend the Plantin-Moretus Museum for more information.
